Valentine's Day Weekend

This past weekend was Valentine's Day, and we tried to make it a fun weekend all around. Saturday night we all got to go to our first movie since Macy's arrival. That's right...you didn't read that wrong, we ALL went. What did we see? We saw Valentine's Day, what else? If you are looking for 2 hours without having to think very hard then you might enjoy this movie. Before you think less of Annie and I, we wouldn't risk having Macy ruin the experience of everyone in the theatre, so we went to the local Drive-In. This way Macy got to join the fun, and sleep through most of the movie, while staying in the comfort of her car seat.

Since South Florida was experiencing one of our unusual cold spells, the temperatures were in the low 50s and we sat in our car with blankets on, turning the car on every 20 minutes or so, to run the heater, getting the chill out.

Things warmed up slightly on Sunday morning, Valentine's day, and Annie dressed Macy in an adorable little outfit and took some cute photos and videos.

  3. How adorable is she!! Annie, Scott you did good. You do know that the drive in was the only way most of the people in your parents generation were able to get out and go to the movies with the babies. I loved it, but not in February! How lucky that you live in a climate that you can do it and still have the drive in theater. Our kids still remember slightly going to the drive in movies. Our grand kids will only remember from stories. And yes, we also used to turn on the heat to take the chill out of the air.
