Travel Plans Aplenty

Lots of travel plans in the works. The Kupper/Cateni Clan better be careful or Father's Day in Fort Lauderdale is going to become a tradition. For the second year in a row I'm going to get to spend Father's Day with my extended family. Looking to take advantage of the South Florida weather, we want to bus the whole family over to a restaurant with outdoor seating, but I'm still not sure which one. If any local readers (or people with local knowledge) have a suggestion, I'm all ears. While typing this post, I did a quick count and we are going to be 13, so it better be a BIG restaurant.

It is also looking like there might be a diva sighting in NY around Labor Day weekend, so if you are on the Island, don't make any plans. Macy will be providing Laney with some tips as she will be taking her inaugural flight. I'm sure we will be the most popular people on the plane. Nothing causes such drastic swings in emotions like seeing a baby head down the aisle, so I can't wait to see the reactions when TWO little ones show up.

In a completly unrelated matter, I know that I've been lacking in the recent Laney photos, but when you are sort of confined to the house and all she does is sleep most of the day, it is stretching my creative side to come up with some original shots. I'll try to have something put together shortly....

Has It Really Been 5 Years???

It is amazing how things change over time. Annie and I split a pizza for dinner tonight and then she ran out to Publix (the local grocery store) to get some things for the family. I stayed home and played babysitter to the girls. In a few moments her bottle will be warm and I'll be head down the hall to feed Laney. This night is DRASTICALLY different than this same night was 5 years ago.

5 years ago tonight, on June 9th, we were surrounded by most of our dear friends and loved ones, in a South Carolina pavilion, enjoying a Low Country Boil. That's right....Annie and I are on the eve our our 5 year wedding anniversary and I can't believe how wonderful my life as a married man has been. When I look back at the night of the rehearsal dinner, I don't think that Scott in 2006 could have imagined what would transpire over the upcoming months and years.

Life with Annie before the wedding was amazing and truly enjoyable and life since then has been even more marvelous; especially lately. I hope you don't mind indulging me in tonight's post. I know I'm getting a little sentimental and sappy, but sitting at home staring at two darling (and sleeping) little angels while watching the clock and counting down the moments until my better half arrives back home can do that to a guy.

Annie, my beautiful wife, I love you more than I can express in words and tomorrow you'll get to unwrap a token of that love, but it will pale in comparison to what you've already given me: two of the most beautiful little girls I've ever seen and the opportunity to spend my life with someone who makes my days better and makes me better. I love you!

So 5 years from now, June 10th, 2016....who wants to join us in Beaufort, SC for another night of music, laughter and a low country boil?
