A Special Treat or Two

Today is a big day on "After The Tenth", as we have a special double treat. First, for those of you who aren't in the South Florida area and have not had an opportunity to meet Macy, we have put together a short video for you.

The second part of our treat is for those of you in the Tri-State area. I can now confirm the rumors. We will be officiallly kicking off the "Macy World Tour" in the New York area in late February. Annie and I will be escorting Macy to the frigid great white north, so she can meet some more special friends and family...especially her Aunt Tori and her Great-Grandmother Sally, who have both been anxiously awaiting confirmation that we are coming.

Here she is from a few days ago, sitting in her Boppy, just hanging out:

Big Weekend of Events

This weekend was quite a busy and event filled couple of days...especially if you are only 1 month old. Wow...Macy is already 1 month old. As you read about her weekend, you will see that she made a bunch of new friends, who have all been added to the Friends of Macy page.

Friday night, the Wagner family joined us for an impromptu evening, but there will be more on that in a future post.

Saturday morning, Nancy, Tom & Leah brought bagels and joined us for breakfast. Leah is in the 8th grade and we were secretly interviewing her as a potential future baby sitter. As you can see in the photo, she passed with flying colors:

Saturday, Macy put on a lovely dress and attended Cherie's baby shower. Cherie and her husband George are expecting a little boy in a month and we are very excited for them. Annie and Cherie used to work together back in the Northeast Academy days and it was a great opportunity for Annie to see some old friends from that school that she hasn't seen in quite a while.

After the baby shower and quick nap, Macy was all ready to go out and help celebrate Grandma & Grandpa Sznitken's 39th Wedding Anniversary. Unfortunately, Grandpa is back in New York, while Grandma is down here with us, so they had to celebrate apart. Grandpa spent his evening with Adam and his future daughter-in-law, Kim while Grandma celebrated with Macy, Great Aunt & Uncle Bobbi & Guy. Having Grandma around the last few days has been a big help. Actually, I'm pretty useless around the house, so she's been more of a help for Annie than for me, but I'm still enjoying the fact that she's here.

Hard to believe, but Macy had another dinner engagement Sunday night. This baby's social life is so busy she's going to need a personal assistant to keep everything straight.

I'd Like You To Meet Grandpa Kupper

Things worked out and  Macy was "officially" introduced to Grandpa Kupper, who was able to fly down for a few days this week. She was enjoying her video calls with him, but now that they've taken a 2 hour nap together, I think the bonding process is complete.

Here is a glimpse of what they looked like together as they napped:

I know that Annie really enjoyed spending a few days with her dad. Since I'm back at work, I missed out on most of his visit, but I'm looking forward to his return in March.  Until then, there are always video calls.
