Baby's Firsts...

I can't really explain how it happened, but yesterday I was driving home from work and before I knew it, I was walking around Toys R Us shopping for my daughter (Wow does that sound weird).

I wanted to be the one to buy her first gift, so there I am holding this large pink stuff elephant...listening to the Toys R Us theme play over and over in the store. I don't wanna grow up....

 

 

I decide its now time to head over to the register and once again I can't really explain it, but all of a sudden I'm holding this pink glitter flower that is a wall decoration.

 

 
Ok, two gifts tucked under my arm and I'm off for the register. On my way, I just happen to pass by the sporting goods section. How I can head home and risk that someone else will buy her her first baseball glove? It was just too risky. They had these Disney gloves and other silly ones with cartoon images on them, but my girl is gonna be a serious baller, so she's gonna need a serious glove. I was just about to give up when I happened to spot one last Franklin mitt that seemed to just appear out of nowhere. Great webbing, black leather and pink mesh backing. Definitely a glove I'd use if I were the star center fielder on the girl's 5 year old travelling softball team.

Yeah its a righty glove and I'm certain that our little one is going to be a southpaw, like her daddy, but maybe I'll show her how to be ambidexterous.
